We are Vaaka Media

Vaaka Media is inspired by വാക്ക്, the ‘word as spoken’ in Malayalam and Tamizh. We are an independent podcast production company and communication consultancy.

We create original shows that are inspired by our curiosity for society and the stories that shape who we are and where we want to go. These stories matter, but how we tell them matters even more. This is why we love podcasts — audio productions are immersive, encourage nuance and gentle discovery, and create experiences that linger. We work closely with creators and believe that the best work is produced by learning from and working with our communities and peers.

Vaaka Media also helps NGOs, non-profits, philanthropies and mission-driven companies to find better ways to talk about their work by creating podcasts, public engagement strategies, research and communications projects and publishing. And we do this by becoming part of your teams, understanding your audiences and creating stories and campaigns that will have the greatest impact.

We are research-based in our approach, and together, bring over four decades of collective experience in audio production, communications, marketing, PR, publishing, research and writing.
